On Tuesday, October 1st our community will come together in support of survivors of intimate partner violence and in recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month. Starting at the Rose Andom Center, everyone is invited to join survivors, advocates, and community leaders as they march to the City and County Building to bring awareness to the impact that intimate partner violence (often called domestic violence) and elevate the voices of survivors. This walk aims to show that each time our community listens to a survivor, tries to fully understand the impacts, and takes steps to support them, we are one mile closer to a future without domestic violence.
