The Cover Me 5k Run/Walk is our signature fundraising event and helps support people recovering from domestic abuse.

Participants and spectators are encouraged to bring donations of bedding or linens (twin sheets, towels, blankets, etc.) Linen is the most requested donation item. All bedding and linen donations will go to benefit Family Tree’s DV shelter. New linen will go directly to the shelter and used linen will go to their thrift store, Treasure Trunk, where Family Tree clients get to shop and fulfill their unique needs free-of-charge.

Participants in the race will receive a race t-shirt, sunglasses, Goody bag, and place medals and enjoy entertainment from Myxed Music – a local mobile DJ. Families and dogs are welcomed! Come and meet the Jeffco Sheriff’s Office mascot, Cheezo!
