The Violence Free Colorado Board of Directors is pleased to announce that Amy Miller has accepted the position of Executive Director of Violence Free Colorado! She will begin her new role in June.

Amy has served as the Public Policy Director at Violence Free Colorado for the last six years and brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in the field domestic violence victim advocacy. She has over 14 years of experience in direct services for survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault and as an advocate for social justice. She served in the capacities of Legal Advocacy and Assistance Coordinator and then as the Director of Client Services at Project Safeguard. Amy began her work in this field as a sexual abuse therapist with Savio House.

The decision to hire Amy comes after a very thorough search process. Violence Free Colorado posted the job nationally through a variety of resources. We received over 30 applications for the position and interviewed candidates from around Colorado and the United States. We’d like to take this opportunity to again thank all of the professionals who applied for this position. We were honored to have such a strong pool of candidates from which to make this important decision.
