Scammers and identity thieves are taking full advantage of the many pandemic related issues to prey on citizens. While they do target certain populations, like older adults, these are equal opportunity criminals, and anyone could be at risk. This presentation will review some of the most common scams and methods used to steal people’s money and identities, as well as some of the ways the criminals are exploiting the pandemic for their gain. We will also talk about some of the long reaching impacts of being a victim of these crimes. Resources and options for support will be provided. We encourage questions and discussion.
