Advocates working on the Housing for Crime Victims Special Project will share lessons they have learned, successes they have experienced, and challenges they have faced in assisting survivors with long-term housing options. In addition, tips on how to utilize VOCA funds for long-term housing, will be shared.

The Housing for Crime Victims Special Project focuses on helping survivors increase access to, and retain safe, long-term housing and providing the necessary supports they need to rebuild their lives. The Housing Projects rely on survivor-driven mobile advocacy (meeting survivors where they are in the community or at home), housing assistance, supportive services, community engagement, and financial assistance.

Presenters will also share information on housing protections available to survivors in Colorado and will share additional resources.

Presenters:
Stevi Gray, Violence Free Colorado
Lindsay Christopher, Safehouse Progressive Alliance for Nonviolence
Claudia Hurtado-Myers, Bright Future Foundation.
