Violence Free Colorado (Violence Free Colorado) recently received a HopeLine® from Verizon grant in the amount of $18,000 to expand its work as a training and technical assistant provider for the more than 40 domestic violence advocacy programs across Colorado. Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine program supports domestic violence prevention and awareness programs and campaigns nationwide.
“Generous corporate support from Verizon Wireless’ HopeLine program allows us to continue to build out our state of the art, interactive online learning center launched earlier this year,” says Amy Miller, Violence Free Colorado’s Executive Director. “Verizon is helping to advance communications through technology which in turn helps us advance best practices and enhance the capacity of programs around Colorado to better meet the needs of survivors of domestic violence. It’s a perfect non-profit and for profit partnership, combining our expertise to meet our mutual goals of using technological advances to better address, and ultimately reduce, domestic violence.”
